Takami Family Seated in Logan Hotel
Description
This photograph of the Takami family includes members of three generations of the family. Starting from the back-left going clockwise, the individuals photographed are Ikuta (Harry) Takami, Linda Takami, Tsuruyo (Mary) Takami, and Taki Takami. Ikuta immigrated to the United States in 1907, Tsuruyo married Ikuta in 1915 and immigrated in 1918, Taki, their youngest child, was born in 1925, and Linda, Taki's oldest child, was born in 1951. At the time of the photograph, Ikuta and Tsuruyo ran the Logan Hotel, while Taki, who was remembered many for work as a Scoutmaster, worked for Cohn Brothers furniture at the time. Linda would go on to become an educator, working many years for the Spokane School District.
