Kenneth Kato's family lived in the Northwestern Hotel and Hand Laundry on 333 Trent Boulevard when he was born in 1949. The back of the building opened up onto Trent Alley, which served as an entrance to the hotel on the second floor run by Kato's grandparents, Tetsumu and Ume Terao. This photograph is of a very young Kenneth Kato in Trent Alley.
