Edison School, 5th grade class of 1965-1966

Picture of the 1965-1966 5th grade class of Edison School. Located in the East Central neighborhood, Edison School had a diverse study body with one of the highest enrollments of Black students in District 81. The school closed in 1972 following a levy failure, and the building was demolished in 1977.
