Description
Railroad yards and their adjacent industrial buildings and parking areas, shown in the 1961 photo of the Expo '74 site, dominated the heart of the downtown area of Spokane, cutting the city off from its scenic river area. Cleared for the World's Fair, the site will become a permanent downtown riverfront park when it is over.
