Description
"WWP's Monroe Street hydroelectric plant under construction in 1889. This facility, which has served five generations of Inland Northwest customers, is currently being upgraded- a renovation that includes replacement of the five old turbine- generators with a single, more efficient unit. The new unit will more than double the plant's generating capacity. In addition to upgrading production capability, the project features comprehensive development of this important water resource, including enhancement of fisheries and wildlife, public recreation, cultural interests and site aesthetics."
