Description
An account of the resource
This digital collection represents a sampling of our portrait collection. Some of the individuals represented are noted Spokane pioneers, such as James N. Glover and J. J. Browne, but most are just ordinary individuals. The majority of the photographs date from the early 20th century and include studio portraits as well as a few family snapshots. Men, women and children are all represented. Some people largely unidentified. Enjoy browsing through the faces of the pioneers.
Still Image
A static visual representation. Examples include paintings, drawings, graphic designs, plans and maps. Recommended best practice is to assign the type Text to images of textual materials.
